Jody and Joey Allen and their four children opened the Loving Life Café

        in the summer of 2006 in the small town of New Oxford, Pennsylvania.

        The Allen's began experimenting with living food recipes to “liven up”

        their raw food diet. The living foods they created were the inspiration

        for the Loving Life Café and it has been a great success.

 

        A living foods diet does not have to be all lettuce and carrot sticks. 

       Through experimentation with spices and equipment like the dehydrator

        almost any cooked food can be replicated using live ingredients.

 

        Children are harsh food critics and keeping them interested and excited

 

        about meal time can be a challenge especially if they have been raised

 

        on cooked foods. Reconditioning the body to accept and crave living

        foods can be fun and successful if you are willing to experiment. 

 

        Jody is a certified living foods chef and instructor formally trained with

        raw chef, Alissa Cohen, and has taught living food preparation classes

        in her New Oxford café. She is now teaching a 3 day “hands on” certification

    class from her home. Jody wanted to share some of her favorite

        recipes through the publication of this book!

 

        The Loving Life Café was more than a place to eat. It was a meeting place

        for Living Foodists and people just looking for a Healthy Alternative to

        eating out.

 

        Jody's husband Joey is a life coach whose primary focus is providing people with 

   

        information and counseling on alternative healing methods. Joey has

 

        worked with patients considered terminal by traditional physicians and

        has seen full recoveries through proper diet, herbal treatments and

    and emotional releasing and just being happy!
